I’m a senior editor at Fast Company, where I lead the magazine’s technology coverage. Previously, I was a senior editor at Medium and the national editor at Pacific Standard. My writing has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian, Fortune, and Outside.
My work has been supported by the Tarbell Center for AI Journalism and the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. I have also received two Society of Professional Journalists awards, and my 2016 essay on American diners was anthologized in Best Food Writing. You can read some of my work here.
